I aint no rocket surgeon, but word on the street is that even though turbines seem simple compared to piston engines, the tolerances and materials needed to withstand the heat and rpm’s means they aren’t really practical for consumer goods. Plus small turbines are inherently inefficient.

Goddammit

Can you even really make IQ go up? That’s like critical thinking and quick reactions and no matter how many books you read, you’re not going to get better at that.

I guess my main suggestion is don’t eat acid and questionable ecstasy pills every weekend in your college years.

I got that big Columbia for free from work and I was tempted to clean it up and paint the thing, but then I remembered that would be a waste of time. Clean em, keep it a little greasy and oily, leave it be. Vices are meant to take some abuse, why try and give it a cherry paint job when you’re going to slip the hammer or sander off the thing from time to time or graze it with a saw blade or grinding wheel?

If you already have some stuff, get a decent socket set. Gearwrench had some nice options if you catch them on sale, Amazon has good pricing. The Duralast, Pitt Pro with black and green handles, or Husky from Home Depot are decent options as well. Then get yourself a combination wrench set.

And like anon said, you will probably want flare nut wrenches for the power steering pump so you don’t round off any fittings. Hoses like that use brass or other soft metals to create a better seal, but this also makes it easy to fuck them up and round them off when using a regular open ended wrench. Pic related is $19 at Home Depot.

Meh, I don’t see much of a purpose, at least for US anons with other options. There are tons of cheap options for people who will only use it occasionally, otherwise most weekend warriors can do fine with one of the many Dremel options or a cordless model from their 12V or 18V tool line of choice, or if this >>1643612 is correct and you want a pro model for pro work or heavy duty hobby work, spend a little more for pic related.

Dremel and other brands offer a flexishaft, the M12 Milwaukee looks decent, and there is a Ryobi One+ that could take a 9.0Ah battery if one wanted.

The Youtube ad started with random guys testing a wrench. At first you think he could be in a home improvement store, but it was lacking Orange and Blue so none of the usual big box suspects. After another 15 seconds, I believe he was in a vape shop asking the vape bros to test his wrench. Humans with estrogen levels so high are not credible test subjects for a new wrench.

And then about 30 seconds in, I see him detach a part and flip a knife out of the goddamn thing, at which point I clicked “Skip Ad” as I should have done 26 seconds prior, or at the very least 10 seconds earlier when the soiboi wearing a vape shop shirt commented on how nice the pocket clip was.

Meh, there’s a difference between being a hermit and being an introvert. Lots of chicks are clingy so you gotta find the one who respects you when you need a couple hours alone in the garage and will tell you when it’s time to come in for dinner and a blowjob. I tell my girl that the saw dust and asbestos will kill estrogen levels and I don’t want her to start growing a mustache and she won’t get the good D if I don’t have some alone time at the workbench.

Oh and in addition to the GW flex heads, they also sell pic related. The reviews are all the same though, saying it’s a great theory but doesn’t work well with torque.

Kinda worthless because you need the flare nut wrench when fittings are tight and this thing can’t hold up to the torque. If it wasn’t tight, you could use a regular wrench. And since the flare nut wrenches only matter when torque is applies, you only need them for the first or last quarter turn, beyond that you can use a regular wrench or your fingers so why even have the ratcheting part?

I can’t get away from that cunt

Anyway I have no idea. Never used them but anon claimed they shit on flare nut wrenches so I’m not sure.

Gearwrench and a a couple other companies make flex head flare nut wrenches that look really nifty. I have those on my wishlist because lines and hoses are always in terrible spots and it might save me from having to use a crowsfoot at an awful angle. Just waiting for the right spot to justify buying them. Whenever I buy a flex head model of something, it always seems to replace the regular fixed head version for jobs where I don’t even need it.

Easy enough. Most confusing thing will probably be bleeding the brakes, but that is simple enough if you have a friend around to pump the pedal. Don’t get suckered into the vacuum pump, hust get the $5 bleeder bottles with hose. Most difficult thing will be dealing with corroded and seized hardware.

If you live somewhere with cold winters and road salt and your car is more than a year or two old, I recommend getting flare nut wrenches for the brake hoses. You may be ok without them, but it will ruin your day if you strip out the fittings with a regular wrench.

Multimeter and some education on how to use it. Diagnosing electronics is one of those things that can be a lot easier than most people think and can save you a whole lot of money. I had a fancy fan that was nearly $100 and only 6 months old when it stopped working. Took it apart with a few screwdrivers and it ended up being a thermal fuse that was <$1.
