most hackintosh builders build their own PCs for it.

Hackintosh Thread, best builds and troubleshooting and whatnot

Standard requirements for easy hackintoshing

>Intel processor or GTFO
>RAM ( up to 64 but during installation only put four GB in)
>hard drive 500GB or under or extra boot loader rejiggering later
>OSX install DVD 10.6.4
>TonymacX86's iBoot/Multibeast
>blank CD-R
>Gigabyte Motherboards are best
>check for DSDTs on tonymac blog for your specific Mobo if you haven't already bought the parts

Ethernet drivers included with Multibeast

>if you use unsupported hardware expect to be compiling Linux/Unix drivers (if they even exist) from source in terminal once you get the Hackintosh Partially working

try approaching it like stamp collectors do when the stamp they want is on a letter, which is steam. ideally you would know what type of adhesive it is, or at least what type of paper it is so you don't ruin the paper in attempt to salvage the label.

I've got an Arduino Uno laying around in my basement somewhere, I was too busy doing other projects to build anything with it, also got a dremel to use so I can use that in more projects than I can find uses for an Arduino.

Sorry, I don't telnet to external servers outside my control, plus, I don't let people telnet to my servers, but yeah, Gotta love WOPR, I used to think it'd be so cool if burger king did a wargames promo, but then I remembered how much burger king sucks sometimes

I use an Arduino Uno most of the time, got inducted into programming by python master race guys at a usergroup meeting, although Java guys seem much more chill, physics, Well, real world portal physics seems cool in theory.

Greetings Mc/diy/vers, I thought I'd start an introductions thread to find out more about the people of /diy/, even the inevitable troll who actually believes we care.
I'm Flynn, I've worked in IT for a while and have some funny stories about customers and sales and service and testing, done the whole retail sales thing and decided it wasn't worth it versus the relatively light workload of service, now an Indie Consultant.

had a company customer who used to do this for poorfags, I used to call his machines Hobo-D2s on account of how many Mac mini's and G4S he took from us. he also bought all his parts from us and paid full price even though he could have gotten them for a discount, also
>he gives internet to poorfags
>buys us lunch sometimes
>only installs linux on the Hobo-D2s
>Spreads joy and linux to the world

Hey /diy/ I'm in a unique situation here, I have an iMac 27 inch i7 that I love to watch movies on but I always need to travel with it, and while I'm on the road most of the places with wifi are starbucks and Mcdonalds resturaunts, Is there any way to carry the monitor plus keyboard and mouse with one hand in some sort of handle/case ?

Seems cool OP, seems like the way to go for the Companion Cube Box is to get someone to professionally print it on a 3D printer, then sand it down to a smooth feel and then paint it like a companion cube.

What I want: turn lights fan on and off temperature control alarm clock window curtains and some way to cycle charging on an individual basis for each plug/outlet

A couple of microcontrollers
A ton of ipod touches and android tablets and that's basically it

Indeed, why does the rest of the internet care about a bunch of robin hood skids who wanna flip the government for the wrong reasons who pretend to be what we were, because of a quirk that most imageboards have (anon name),
We've come so far, and gone nowhere fast.
