what about something similar to the top picture but using the body of an office chair as the sitting area.

like strip off the mounting for the leg and the arm rest. and bolt it to the wooden structure. maybe even design the wooden structure around it so it all matches.

and last but not least the ROUGH form for the tail section. i still need to do alot of work on the plug but it gives you an idea.
