The pic OP posted was origionally posted from a German website, and a guy from the TV Show Pumkin Chunckin on Discovery Channel (and Catch It Keep It on Discovery) made a page where he translated the German webpage and responded to some questions and claimed to of tryed this out... i have the same problem and you cant just let it sit there, it Will warp the wood around the window and then the window wont fit right agains yhe sill , iv got a half inch space between the window and sill from about 14 years of condensation, and the window will warp so it will become hard to slide up and open... and the the sides wont be flesh with the frame... nit as noticeable as it sounds... just makes the outfoor tempurature to get it
