Yeah but they had a bunch of millefiori pieces that were less.
Is there something really tricky about this process or something?

Thought I'd shar my Murano Christmas Trees. I didn't make them but I thought someone might get a kick out of them.

>These swords have souls
shit, at it's age it probably has killed a couple people.

>The chances of you getting that sword out of the country are exceedingly slim
That's what they said about the Land Rover Defender I bought in Bahrain but I figured it out.
It hasn't been graded so it hasn't been declared a national treasure or anything. but it probably isn't a very special sword anyway.
What I might end up doing is sending it back through the mail. We have a USPS outlet on base. I could stick it in the box and declare it as a "decorative sword" and it probably wouldn't get a second glance from anyone.

Oh I'm gonna keep it. I wouldn't throw it away even if it was the ugliest piece of garbage on the face of the earth. After all the time I spent making the damn thing I'd convince myself that I liked it.

Well it is a small apartment but it's all my shit inside it. That "stien" is a coffee mug that belonged to one of my old captains.
And fuck that guy if he doesn't like my curtains or painting.

First of all, how it looks is irrelevant. The sheath and handle are just trappings that can be changed.
As for getting it taken care of, probably will before I leave Japan but that shit is not cheap. it's like 60 bucks per inch.
> all you are doing it at the moment like using it as some sort of trophy
M8, it's a souvenir. It's a really awesome souvenir but still just a souvenir.

Since you care so deeply, can you tell me what the back side says?

Most cost 7k and up. I got this for 3.7k but I waited to find a good deal. It was cheaper than most I've seen before because it wasn't professionally appraised and really needs a professional polishing.
It's nothing too special but it's good enough for me.

The blade is in the neighborhood of 400 years old. The guy I bought it from said the rest of it is more like 100-200 years old. I looked up the smith after I bought it, he worked for some family in northern Japan. I forget the details, it's all written on the registration card but I can't read it.

It's the registration card. After ww2 all Katanas had to get registered as weapons.
