Meant leather cleaner and conditioner.

>> No.359042 [View]

Ok, since you don't give a fuck about destroying the value:

Clean the blade with CLR. Be sure to rinse, dry, and oil it with mineral oil after.

Use a leather conditioner and conditioner on the sheath. You can use shit made for shoes or saddles. You may want to strip and restain it if you want to get rid of that burn mark.

For the top of the sheath, sand it down, fill in the holes with some wood putty (if its wood; if its metal, use lead/lead substitute), then cover it with gold leaf, or just spray paint it if you're a cheap ass.

They rusted from the inside out, actually. Also, scratched the fuck out of flooring.

I switched to something similar to jika-tabi after that, since dexterity was much more useful than impact resistance in the scenarios I was wearing them in. Never wore anything else.

This is what got me into leatherworking.

It also got me to realize that steel soles aren't a great idea.

However, each cell being roughly 11"X15", and needing 12 cells, your backpack will need to be 1980sq in, 44"X45", assuming a 4X3 cell layout, which is quite awkward (1.117mX1.143m, for the civilized world) considering the array in your picture is roughly 9"X12"

Need to know the battery voltage.

Assuming its a fairly standard 5.5VDC, at 5600mA, we use the formula V*A=W, converting 5600mA to amps leaves 5.5*5.6=30.8W.

Its a good measure to factor in lower efficiency in a solar system than the rated output (due to shade, clouds, and the angle at which sunlight hits the photovoltaic cells), and 80% is a reasonable assumption.

Each one of those panels is rated at 68W, so 68*.8=54.4W. Keep in mind this is at 12V, so using V*A=W, 12*A=54.4, 54.4/12=A, 4.5A.

Now, at first glance, the rating of 12V@4.5A may seem that it won't satisfy the 5.5V@5.6A requirement, but note that the panels are all 11 cells connected in series, which means they are arranged for a higher voltage, where the voltage of each cell is added along the circuit. 12V/11cells= 1.1V/cell, so we only need 5 cells in series in theory to have an output of 5.5V, but in the real world, an output of 6.6V will be more reliable, since 6.6V*.8=5.28, which is at least close to our target voltage, and can be handled by a transistor.

Now that we know we need 6 cells in series to get the needed voltage, that leaves us with amperage to consider. All 11 cells in series gives us 4.5A, which means each cell puts out 4500mA each. In a parallel connection, current is added across shunts, but for reasons I won't go into, the values of shunted groups need to be the same, so we'll have to work with 2 groups of 6 cells. Connecting the two groups of 6 in series with each other gives each group 6.6V and 4.5A, but shunting them together in parallel gives the system 6.6V and 9A, which is sufficient for our system, considering losses due to ohm's law, and transistor efficiency.

Neat. I've always found the most difficult part of wet molding to be proper drying of the piece without deforming it in the process.

Get it close to the size you want, call up a jeweler, and ask how much they'd charge to size it up for you.

Independent jewelers will likely be more cooperative, as its about 10 minutes of work, and most will jump at the chance for an easy $20 with no materials cost.

Food trucks work well for impulse buys. Ask any stoner what they want to eat, several hundred times, and the top 5 will flesh out viable mobile food categories. They aren't really the bees knees for grocery shopping, but they're ok for whatever you can eat with one hand while standing (anything on a plate is iffy, but can be a secondary type of item).

If you plan on anything more than that, a shop is probably best.

I come from a family of entrepreneurs. My uncle owned a pressure washing empire, my mom owned a daycare company, my dad started a national coffee roasting company, and I started a trucking company.

Protips:
>form an LLC
>no, you don't have enough money saved up
>save up 4 revenue cycles worth of free capital before beginning (typically 12 months)
>save more money if you can
>plan on operating at a loss the first 3 years (tax breaks for it as well)
>calculate your operating costs
>calculate your operating costs again

Ok, bro. Firstly, ditch the music idea. It's obnoxious

Second, you need to go to every office in an industrial complex, and find out when their lunch hours are. Find as many as you can that don't overlap, and leave a few paper menus (with motherfucking prices on them) at the ones YOU CAN ACTUALLY MAKE IT TO.

Don't forget the truckers backed into the shipping and receiving docks. Drive by at a crawl gently tapping your horn with a big ass sign on the side of your roach coach that says "HOT MOTHERFUCKING FRENCH FOOD" and list a few main dishes as well. Truckers flip a shit at a chance for some hot food with a short walk after they've been backed in a dock for 4 hours. Consider getting a CB radio to expand your customer base, but get permission from the property owners in the area to vend there. Most don't give a fuck, but a few will call the cops on you for trespassing.

Neat, OP.

I'd consider doing something similar if it wouldn't get smashed to shit while I was working.

I've got a bunch of sketches for some sub-dermal circuitry I thought up in high school, and it used a battery pack similar in design to yours, but there were transdermal battery terminals through fistulae in the skin.

Only thing I would have done differently is wet molded the leather to improve stiffness, and riveted the straps into the leather rather than cutting slits. I can understand the benefit of pliability, but I've always worked with my hands, and a stiffer leather always afforded more durability and abrasion protection.

Interested to see how the wetsuit liner holds up. You might want to install it with some snap buttons so you can remove the liner (if you're attaching it to the rest of the band at all) and machine wash it, because it is going to get nasty, especially if you ever break a sweat. Washability is going to be a huge plus.

You can get /fit/ with just bodyweight exercises. /fit/ says they're shit because they don't fit into routines like SS, and they circlejerk about aesthetics all day rather than functional strength. Instead of increasing weight, you're going to be increasing reps and sets, and guess what; as you increase reps and sets, your bodyweight will increase along with muscle mass.

You're going to be doing several hundred reps of each exercise a day. 10 push ups isn't shit. Do 100 a day, even if it takes you 50 sets, and you'll start making progress until you can start doing proper sets.

>3 mile run
>300 sit ups
>300 push ups
>150 pull ups
>150 dips

I did this daily in high school, and I was stupid strong. It took me about 3 months to work into it entirely, but fuck, it was worth it.

A proper USED APU will cost in the $7000+ range. What you want is a shitty little webasto heater off a VW, a piece of crap genset bought at a pawn shop, and a window mount A/C unit under the continuous wattage of whatever inverter you're running with the genset. Keep in mind the genset is going to be what fucks you out of a good parking spot 9/10 times, because nobody wants to listen to that shit.
