>Warehouse 13
had to google to see what that was. sounds interesting, i may have to check it out

>electricity?
yes

>Is there 3G coverage?
no communications allowed with outside world

>Am I allowed to have my charger for my phone?
yes, and any stored data you bring in on it is fair game

>What if I wanted to make something that doesn't really exist (like a warp drive)?
anything you build must obey the laws of physics. if you manage to make a discovery in the process, then good for you

>> No.151464 [View]

>>151438
hmm. maybe there is a condition that you have no communications with the outside? i guess you could still have a ton of stored data, though

you can do some serious construction with that. what would you build?

>> No.151400 [View]

>>151397
yeah, theoretically, as long as you know how

i think my 3 would have to be a multimeter, a jigsaw, and an electric drill. that gives me the ability to build things, and diagnose most electronics. (could build an oscilloscope from there if i really had to)

hey /diy, imagine you were going to be locked in a warehouse with any parts / materials / components you wanted for the next year. if you could only bring 3 tools with you, what would you bring? what would you make? only restriction is that you can't build something that would enable you to escape.

let's see what ideas you've got!

here's an aerial shot of most of the land. the boundaries are something like the red lines

better shot of the buildings, looking from the opposite direction.

but i'm more interested in things i could do with the land, especially with the annoying shape, super long and skinny. anything other that farming?

here's an aerial view of the buildings. house on bottom left, garage on middle left, old camper? on top left, barn on right, various old vehicles/junk visible. top and bottom of image represent N/S boundaries of property. circles are two ponds that are rather shallow / have filled in a lot in recent years

here's the garage. the part on the right is a shed type addition which probably needs to be torn down. i think the footers for the garage itself have shifted a lot, so the whole thing might need to be torn down

grass hasn't been cut in a while, but here's a pic of the house. i guess it does look a little worse for wear, i haven't been there in a couple years. my parents were there in the summer. pics from google street view.

i'll see if i can dig up any of the barn

the house is in good shape. it needs some maintenance after previous renters did some damage, but other than that i think its ok.

there is an old tractor on the property that i think my dad said used to run. maybe a Ford 8-N if i remember correctly?

hey diy. my family owns 17 acres in western NY. this includes the house where i grew up (1865 farmhouse), a rickety garage, and a collapsing / disentegrating barn. the property is about 200 feet wide and 0.6 miles long. there is a high-voltage power line that crosses 3/4 of the way back. the land is mainly woods, but has become marshy in the last 10 years. there are also 2 small ponds near the house and barn. what would you do with the property?

those pins aren't connected to anything when the phone is together, but they are contacts for the charger / pc cradle for the phone. that's how upgrade / reset software on the phone at the lab. i have a few of the chargers that they threw out, not sure if they work
