/diy/ seems to have a lot of "making money without doing any work" threads, recently.

I see this as a bigger issue, bad budgeting, one I am guilty of myself.

So, let's have a budgeting/life tricks thread.

Did you read the OP?

This is /diy/ after all.

If you used either a solid block of wood and then cut it at an angle, or used angled 2X4 pieces behind your "headboard" you should be fine. And it's not like it needs to be pretty, it's inside the bed.

Sorry, I don't have much experience with MDF. But if you had a solid object (lulheavy) under the board, it wouldn't matter much.

Lucky you. I wake up a quarter mile from the house standing in a field.

Figure out what angle you want, and how high it is going to go (from where the bed will rest to the top of the sides). Add what the difference of length is to your total length. If you angle it, there will be a gap at the head of your bed.

Yeah, if you had your tv mounted appropriately with 5.1/7.1 surround sound? Oh my god that would be awesome. A subwoofer, IN THE BED.

Eh, I sleepwalk and get violent with things in bed with me. My girlfriend hates it. I usually sleep in the hammock when she's over.

Speakers in the bed. Do it.

>alarm

Man, I have to set mine across the room. If I don't stand up, I'm going back to bed.

>(also feel like trying DIY)

And there's the perfect reason.

Personally, I don't care about open floor space. I've crammed a dresser, hammock, desk, double bed, couch, recliner, bookshelf, and a table for my snake into my room.

But as far as a /diy/ project goes, it's interesting.
If you're a /g/entleman you could even incorporate technology into it.

Haha, it had to be this guy.

But you're going to make a lot of money off that.

Am I missing something? Unless you live in a tiny studio or similar.

And what do you need the space for?

ITT: We help criminal acts.

On topic, I wish I could help, but I don't deal with that part at my job.
We just fill up a 30yard open top box with metal and send it off to a local site. Yay money.

Copper is good money, I know that. We keep separate boxes (much smaller) for copper, radiators, and even extension cords. I wish I saw the invoices on what copper gets us, sorry.

Wat?

I like the idea of the picture though, maybe some /diy/ kink mounts ;)

And what >>275237 said, use screws. They're cheap and durable.

No, it's content that damn sure doesn't belong here.

There are plenty of stoner forums, with a large user base of home growers. Go there.

Ever worked for tips? Because I've noticed people with money don't do it.

Also, like I said. Do your homework. How much is it going to cost to run, maintain, insure? Where are you going to keep it?

Work out a real business plan.

>saying it's free
>expecting people to tip you half of a taxi ride for it

Maybe half of them will. On a good day.

Not a terrible idea though. Where would you charge it? How much is it going to cost to charge it? Do your homework. Figure out how much you need to rake in to make it more than "slightly" profitable.

Guess it depends where he lives.
In Texas, you'd get shot for saying "we won't let you mount a window unit. Oh, we also don't have central air"

Stay classy /diy/

So really, OP.
You're not allowed to have air conditioning?
Is it worth it to you to find a way to barely cool off a room or two instead of finding another apartment? That seems like it would be the better course of action.

I'm still trying to grasp this.

Your apartment has absolutely no AC?
What third world country do you live in?
