8 ifco boxes and then a mattres on top. The boxes are collapsible, so you can just stow them away when you don't need them

There's a few options. Where in the house is the bed? if it's on the top floor and you have access to the attic, there's some good options for hanging beds that store on the ceiling?
What size mattress do you have/want?
wall fold out beds like you describe tend to be singles at best.

Have you considered a loft bed? Dorm rooms tend to have that design to save space: a bed with desk/workspace underneath. Lots of plans for it too, since it has no moving parts it can be made very sturdily/cheaply.

Also consider reinforcing the walls and getting a sleeping hammock. I've heard well designed ones are great (are made in the shape of your body and give support to your butt/back, not the generic daytime hammocks that are a straight curve), and you could easily store it by unclipping one end.

It's a pretty simple design problem. I think bed existed in a number of forms before the advent of the modern computer age.

I used "advanced bed design software version 234.5" because it supports all the new pillow case patterns.

Have you considered the classic folding futon? It's multipurpose and space-efficient compared to having a layout which includes a chair/couch as well as some sort of bed. Traditional Japanese futons are also an option, but they're fairly different.

You might also consider the loft bed/single "bunk" bed which has a desk or whatever you want underneath your bed. In fact, right now I'm coming up with an idea for a bed with a computer desk built under it with the desktop supported by a minifridge and my 12" subwoofer.

This. You can imagine that it's futon and you are japanese living in a cardboard house.

Sleep on the floor with a pillow and a blanket. Honestly sleeping on the floor is great for your back.

Do you have a CAD program? Solidworks is good but you could always settle for something like Freecad
