A while ago, I saw a recipe in these here parts. Saved it and can't fucking find where.

it was a hard apple cider recipe on a white background. I believe it was 6 gallons of apple juice, yeast, and something else. Approximately $20 (and a few months) for 6 gallons of delicious 80-proof.

If you have this, please post it.

If you know anything else about the process, please post. Any ways to make it taste better, whether to use apple juice or cider, spices to add, etc.

> 80-proof.

Not possible without distillation.

not the poster of that comment but, most yeasts will survive up to 10% alcohol and you'll get the rare few that will take up to 20%. once the yeast dies alcohol production stops, new yeast added will die of alcohol poisoning before they can make more alcohol and CO2

have you tried >>/ck/ ?

to be fair, most good wine yeast should at least do 15%. 80% is ridiculous though and shows that OP is some 15-year-old shithead

ABV and Proof are different, aren't sure what 80 proof is in ABV though, probably arround 30 or 40, which is also pretty ridiculous, I suppose...
