Hey /diy/. Do you have any ideas how could i create Pelton wheel with widely available resources? I am tasked with creating such water turbine for a contest.
So far my best idea was connecting two pvc pipes like on picrelated.
or should i abandon Pelton wheel and use other water turbine design?
Im grateful for all advice.

forgot to add - connect pipes after cutting off red parts so its at least similar to Pelton wheel.

a little shaping and those would make perfect ass holders.

what if I told you.. you could lift the weight as fast as possible, while using the least amount of water?

I presume your 'turbine' can't have one 5.01l bucket that drops 4m?

Get a pile of snow shovels from your local hardware store: then cut the forward sections.

It's a wheel covered in spoons.
Spoons. They sell them by the pack.

Now. Do you need help with the wheel too?

Should add, use tablespoons instead of teaspoons to move more more water. Or use some large spoons like for serving soup.

Any chance you could find an old turbocharger from a junkyard? You could send water through the exhaust side and put a pulley on the shaft from the air side.

Here's a manual on how to build one:
https://www.engineeringforchange.org/static/content/Energy/S00070/5%20Gallon%20Bucket%20Build%20Manual.pdf

but the best way for an amateur to make the turbine is to 3d print one. No really.
