sledge hammer might seem the best but i quite prefer a picaxe, you can use the other end to get in the cracks and wedge them out.

road saw
concrete chainsaw
jackhammer

Tractor with a jackhammer attachment. Then use the tractor to load in the truck.

All three? Also, I'm ignorant of driveway slabs. Will I encounter rebar? These were laid in the 60s

>> No.689641

Cheapest way to get rid of them is to bury them.

How deep should I bury them? Clearly I want to reclaim the lawnspace, but don't necessarily want a big lump in the lawn

Your slab there will almost always have reinforcing mesh in it. If it doesn't, count yourself lucky. Let's assume it does though.

You will need:

1. A large pair of bolt cutters.
2. A jackhammer: the biggest jackhammer you can move.
3. Ear protection.
4. Eye protection.

Use jackhammer. If there's no mesh, you'll just go along breaking it up into chunks. If there is mesh, jackhammer around the mesh until you can get the bolt-cutters in and cut it along edges of the chunks you want to make.

Any of the three but I'd prefer the jackhammer, go rent one.
Doubtful there will be rebar because it's not foundation, but like the other poster said, there might be mesh. Use bolt cutters or angle grinder to get rid of that.

Rent a electric jack hammer, and wheelbarrow.

If accessible rent a bobcat and hammer attachment.
