Cool shit to DIY with jeans other than the "ripped"/"vintage" look?

>> No.59688

Acquire jeans. Second-hand and goodwill stores are great for this.
Dismantle jeans. Salvage denim material.
Make whatever the fuck you want out of the denim.

In the last 3 years i have spent around 10-20 bucks of pants, and i got nearly 20 pairs: Are they ugly? no, actually they're highly fashionable. The pair im most satisfied with, is my carrot cut dress pants. Many of my friends have asked me where i bought them.
In my point of view, the only decent pants to wear is tight pants or atleast carrot cut. Sorry for saying it, but it's just the thing. They fit the body the best
Ok, so how did i get cheap hip jeans? simple! i bought pants in the second hand store, that had potential. Then to the hard work. I used my sewing machine to get the thight fit. It's easier than one might think. I have no expierence what so ever with sewing, but the result even with the first pair of jeans was quite amazing. What i did was:

1: Take on the pants and decide how tight you want them
2: Pull the pants inside out, and mark the residual pieces with a piece of chalk or whatever and in that way form how the pants should look. put needles along side of drawn line, and try the pants on. if they fit, may god have mercy on your soul
3. With your sewing maching, sew zigzag with the said line in the middle.
4. Now cut off the excess piece of cloth
5. wear pants

hope it's useable for you guys. I was thinking about making an info about it one day. The pants are usually much better looking than cheap monday, and are of a unique design and besides, they are much much more durable. Taken in considerating how long this takes to do, i would recommend it to everyone with a sewingmaching - it's even worth buying a maching for the sole purpose of remaking pants
