Hi DIY
I'm removing some tile underlay that's made up of 1/4 inch ply and particle board glued and screwed together. I'm using a hammer and chisel right now, its slow going. Any suggestions on speeding up the process?

Rotary Hammer with a scaling blade. Was that under ceramic? Totally wrong choice for subfloor if so.

I've always used a regular spade-shaped shovel to getting up hard to remove underlayments. A flat shovel is better for easier to remove stuff.

Cut grooves power saw. Adjust cutting depth to 1/2 - 3/4". It'll easier to chisel afterwards.

Thanks. Part of the reason we're taking up the tile is because they were lifting. So yeah definitely the wrong choice.

A shingle scraper would make short work of that shit.
