Needed:

How to:
>cut up the pingpong ball into small pieces.
>put pieces inside sigarette paper
>close paper and roll the ends together to get a fuse.

I've heard smoke bombs are sugar and gunpowder, but I was unable to make smoke with these. Maybe you need powdered sugar or maybe I was just using the wrong proportions.

You need sugar and Potassium Nitrate (saltpeter). Some commercial stump removers use it.

Also, if you know what you're doing, you can -carefully- melt the mixture and cast fairly good solid rocket motors.
