Hey /diy/, first time poster here

what would be required for viable crops to feed, say a dozen people? I'm talking land area, climate, seeds, equipment, etc. is there anyone who actually has any experience with this?

While I think this is somewhat well understood it was even more dire in world war two, when every city in europe was given a caloric quota, think of bread lines and the slow starvation of concentration camp and ghetto populations.

Consider food is a terrible weapon.
Consider we subsidize farming in America.
Consider it's crazy cheap and we'd be stupid not to.

But grow what you want, no one is against that.

but what would be needed to actually grow such edible crops? i'm not in america btw, and i definitely do not want to make this a business nor go fully innawoods. i'd just like to know what things would be necessary for feeding 12 people well

Depending on where you live there are probably a couple ecovillages/farms/hippy communes near you, all that I have been to have been friendly and helpful.

Look into the books by John Seymour about homesteading. They cover everythoing you need about the subject and are well written and easy to understand.

learn to eat stuff that is already around.. like pine nuts, and clay, and fish.. but, you gonna die. we live low quality lives, for no reason, the eugenicists are right, we need to be put out of our misery. have fun farming or whatever.
