Hey guys, i am making a prosthetic leg for my girlfriends box turtle that lost its leg to a snapper. This is the foot. As you can probably deduce the wire is for improved grip on the land.

This is the lower part of the leg. At least a small part of it. A clickytop pen spring will be added to the heel part and plastic will be added to provide more support.

Why not just epoxy a small, plastic wagon wheel to the underside of the shell? Seems like it would have a longer life.

perhaps some thought should be given to adding defenses to the turtle in case of further attacks by the snapper.
