This.
Its stupid to want to butcher your hand for a rid chip. Why dont you just but it in a wristband

i'll look for a better solution like the wrist band you suggest. thank you

It is possible that the chip enters your circulatory system and damages your heart and other vital organs, especially when you want to do it yourself.

>> No.390801

Vets do this all the time for animals, but you'd be better off putting it somewhere other than your hand. Anywhere that has at least a small amount of fat under the skin (and nothing important like your hand does) should work.

I'm kinda okay with this, I guess. I do worry about having metal in my body because of the danger from an MRI.

I don´t think that would work, sure if it is close to the skin but not if any deeper.

No worries, An MRI would just relieve you of said chip. Probably sideways and with a good exit wound.

Above your navel would be nice. then you can create the best scenes from Alien, but in miniature.

That said, Do RFID chips have iron in them ? MRI's work well with & in fact contain brasses & coppers (certified nonmagnetic)

Some tattoo inks heat up as well in MRI's. From nice artwork to steaming welt in 45 seconds. /derail

The safest place to put them is on the hand you don't use. For example if you're right handed, you put it in the left hand and vice versa, etc. (See picture for placement). As far as the implantation procedure goes, you have to be very sanitary. You'll need an 8 gauge piercing needle, your rfid, some surgical nitrile free gloves and a hard surface sterilizer (Wavicide is your best bet as it's a surgical sterilizer, mainly used to clean endoscopes and such but in a pinch, 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol will also do.) You'll also need some high quality superglue and bandages. You may need someone to lend a helping hand or even just do it for you, while you walk them through it. You start by laying out a paper towel, then the needle and the chip in their sealed packages. Get a shot glass that has been thoroughly cleaned and pour your wavicide or isopropyl in there. Drop the chip in and leave it for a while. Wavicide takes about 10 minutes to become super effective. While you wait, you need to clean your hand. Apply some alcohol or if you prefer, iodine and let it soak in and dry. With the gloves on, take it out of the shot glass and let it dry on the paper towel. Open the needle and pinch the skin in the direction you want the rfid to go in (like in the picture is recommended). Poke with the needle and stop, about 2-3 mm longer than the rfid. Insert the rfid WITH YOUR HANDS. It's extremely important to use your gloved hands to insert it and not some tool. Any tool you use can possibly rupture the shell of the rfid rendering it no longer bioproof. It will corrode inside your body and cause you plenty of grief. After the chip is inserted, pinch the skin of the open wound together and make sure the skin is well connected. Put a bit of superglue on the meeting part of the skin and hold it until it dries. Cover with a bandage and voila, you're done. Reapply superglue as often as is needed.

I forgot to mention something important. You need to change gloves after everything you touch to avoid all form of cross contamination.

pet-style RFID chips work on a low frequency so they have a little ferrite bar inside the coil

problem with them is, they're not very secure, since they're designed as ID tags, they just broadcast a fixed number to any device that queries them. So anybody who can surreptitiously wave a reader near your ass can clone the chip and can now use your bathroom, and you can't change the key without slicing your ass open and digging the chip out.

anyway check this guy he'll sell you the tags and stuff if you want: http://amal.net/?p=3837

No problem m8. Just be careful and make sure to avoid veins. Hold a strong flashlight under your hand to see if you have any veins that would get in the way and then avoid them or worst come to worse, don't take a risk, try the other hand. If you still cant go about it, go for the top of the wrist.

Texas Instruments chips [tiris] are non allergenic, encased rf transponders often used in animal tracking. Range of transmission depends on size of coil. To operate your garage door you would have to wear it up your butt ---- ;)

Op, I'd recommend against implanting an RFID chip in you. Like the rest of them, I'd say just put it in a wristband or watch.

Problems with implanting the chip:
1) If you ever want to get it out, it's gonna be a lot more of an ordeal than getting it in.
2) Chance of infection/rejection if you do it wrong, and probably a bit expensive to have a doctor do it.
3) According to an engineering major I'm friends with, RFID technology is apparently going out of style. Supposedly instead of having a reciever activate the chip, eventually your phone will activate the reciever when you walk by. RFID probably won't completely disappear anytime soon, but in case it does, you'll be stuck with a piece of dead tech in your hand.
4) Theoretically, someone could track you without you knowing. It would be kind of expensive/tedious setting up hidden recievers in a bunch of places that you go, but if you're paranoid like me, I'd rather not chance it. If one day you want to do something without somebody knowing, you couldn't just take a wristwatch and not have to worry about it tripping sensors.

most RFID chips are going to just be copper traces on a FR4 PCB with a few basic components which aren't magnetic (at least, not in the sense that they will be pulled through the scanner) - they might produce some slight distortion in the MRI image due to the B0 effect of paramagnetic material or B1 from the copper causing an inhomogeneus transmit field, but there should be no danger to the patient

just make damn, damn sure that your RFID chip is not resonant at 63.86MHz or 127.728MHz or you'll burn the fuck out of yourself

I know someone who's done this.

Used to work with this BDSM tranny freak (I say that lovingly, he was a total dudebro) who got one in the back of his neck, Dana Scully style. I wish I could find the video of him getting it put in. It's on youtube but really unclearly labelled. He got it 'semi professionally' done - someone with some medical training and possibly a tattoo artist? I forget. If I could find the video it would put you off. They were using the proper instrument used on animals but apparently it was a bit dull and it was excruciating (this coming from a 300lb dude who gets tazed for fun).

Find someone who'll do it under TOTALLY sterile and safe means or think of a different body mod.
