Our mission is simple: To help create a better world.

In partnership with several NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations), EWB helps create a more stable and prosperous world by addressing people's basic human needs by providing necessities such as clean water, power, sanitation and education.


Our Current Objective: To bring clean water to small rural community in western Kenya called Isongo.

Our story begins in Kakamega, a city 30 minutes away from Isongo. The number of orphaned street children in the city drew the attention of Simiyu House, an NGO that focuses on helping underprivileged communities in Kenya. Simiyu House built a orphanage in Isongo that would provide shelter and bring education to these children.

However, after realizing the poor state of community’s water supply, Simiyu House reached out to EWB in hopes that we could come up with a solution to their problem.

So now it is my turn to reach out to the public. Please help us in our efforts to give these people better quality of water. Your donations will go to the creation and maintenance of a cheap and easy to manage water filtration system.

I read a study about nutrition in Africa.
The purpose of the study was poorly disguised, but in essence it asked "why aren't they dead yet".

How can these people survive on the shitty contaminated grains they are given by aid organizations? Rats die from eating it...why doesn't it kill Africans?
The conclusion was quite interesting. Despite the poor quality of their dietary intake, they were able to survive due to natural nutrients found in the water supply.

It is imperative that we institute filtration systems across the continent, to eliminate this risk of survival.

To print simple Electronic boards.
Plate with Metal powder on it, melt this powder with the focus point while the plate/card is moved the way a plotter would (two rails).

Could perhaps be cheaper and safer than the traditional "acid" method.

Could also perhaps be used for some soldering jobs.

Or to print some pyrography on wood or any material.


Good thing would be to be sure you have a clean stable focus point, this means you must use mirrors which can seek the Sun perfectly and give a proper angle into the lens.

I wouldn't recommend anything made commercially today. Trying to reduce costs, businesses make compromises that they shouldn't, or they build in obsolescence to keep you coming back for replacements.

Mine were made 18 years ago, and paid for themselves within a year. I've always maintained them, cleaning, waxing, and oiling. Changed bearings a few times, but never had a failure of any kind.

As for charging batteries, I'd go with a solar cell instead. You don't need 20KW for that.
