Do any /diy/nosaurs know how to fix this shit. I bought an Xbox new from Ebay and the guy had bought it using the Xbox Entertainment plan and after a month I get this fucking message and my Xbox is unplayable.

Long story short, Ebay and Microsoft won't do anything about it.

I still get this message even when I remove the hard drive. Is there a way I can delete it from the motherboard of the 360?

I will be extremely grateful if someone can help me.

Sounds like the original owner was scamming for xbox live time or games.

You can try resetting the console to factory defaults (remove any harddisk and memory cards) .. power on the console using the control pad and then hold the "Y" button and the right trigger at the same time. The xbox should show the logo and then reboot.

Alternatively, you could try applying the latest xbox update and hope it resets it. Beaware once the xbox goes back online it might be flagged again.

You should be able to dispute the payment through PayPal. This stems from the new subscription model where you can buy an Xbox for $99 with a 2 year contract to pay like $12/mo. Think of it like a USA cell plan where if you stop paying the monthly payments they bitch at you.

He scammed you because he paid $100 for it then sold it to you for a profit. Make this clear to ebay and it should be resolved.

That is exactly what he is doing. I called him out and he ended up refunding me and by doing so there is no further investigation or anything into hid account and he is still scamming people.

>>378069
Like I said, he refunded me but my Xbox is still bricked and I don't want to have to buy a new Xbox from the store for $300 when I paid $210 for this one and that's how much he refunded me. So the refund is not enough to cover a new one.

How can I report him? I did a dispute through paypal and he refunded me so it automatically closed the dispute. I looked and can't find a way to report sellers.

Not who you asked but at that point your only choice is to give a bad review and try to explain what he does in the limited amount you have to say.

You've been refunded, and got all the parts for an xbox essentially free. Stop bitching.

>got your money back
>still have xbox

lets do some simple math

$12 x 24 months = $288

Just do the contract... you got a $300 system for free. I don't see why Microsoft wouldn't let you buy the 2 year plan. They lost $200 when this guy canceled his contract.

This is a good guide for eating sushi in Japan.
However, in America, I think it's retarded to even bother adhering to Japanese customs when eating sushi. You're essentially going out of your way to try and impress a wait staff of minimum wage Koreans posing as Japs with your awesome knowledge of sushi manners.
I dip my rice in soy sauce. I mix wasabi into my soy sauce. Hell, sometimes I even put ginger on my sushi. And I fucking love it.

I heard this is a pretty quick, cheap way to make the worst-tasting, possibly unsafe alcohol ever. Seriously, even moonshiners put more effort into it.

Prob worn't ferment because of the potassium sorbate in the juice. If it does ferment, whatever results won't kill you. It might taste like crap (probably will, with that much pure sugar), but the worst thing that happens is you make 5 gal of shitty vinegar.

I was thinking more along the lines of bacterial contamination and repeated ingestion because of chronic idiotosis.

I've seen a few cases where people spent time in the ICU because they drank some nasty stuff and then thought that the severe symptoms were a case of not being accustomed to alcohol and tried to 'man up'.

>> No.378759

>>378535
Do you know what this "nasty stuff" happened to be?

I'm not sure how it works with ciders, but with beer, between the low pH and anti-bacterial properties of the hops, the only bacteria that can grow aren't pathogenic. They will cause problems and usually make your beer taste like shit, but that's about it.

And sometimes you want bacteria, like a brettanomyces, if you're making a lambic or a sour beer. I still think that, as long as you clean things out pretty well, this crap cider thing will work.

>I've seen a few cases where people spent time in the ICU because they drank some nasty stuff and then thought that the severe symptoms were a case of not being accustomed to alcohol and tried to 'man up'.

I think it should be very obvious that those people were lying as to what they drank or what was presented to them to drink was not what they though it was. If alcohol products go "bad" you can't keep it in your mouth it is so nasty. If you do manage to drink it, a lot of it, the worst that will happen is you get the screaming shits/wicked gas for a while and possibly be dehydrated as a result. That alone shouldn't be ICU worthy in the slightest.

OP, what do Gamestop and other game stores sell used Xbox's for? If you're willing to buy a used Xbox off the internet from unknown sellers, you could probably try local stores.

In some cases where people manage to fuck up really bad and get bacterial growth before any alcohol is produced you can get some really neato stuff like botulism

>> No.379162

>>379150
lol No, you can't.

Oh I guess you could if you were making pruno and decided to use pre-botulism-infected foodstock and didn't boil the ingredient before hand. But, that means you'd be adding the botulism toxins to the brew and not actually brewing up new bacteria that make new botulism in the brew.

So, you are still in correct.
