Anyone have suggestions on a good woodcarving knife?

Fixed blade, preferably. I picked up one from Micheal's for ten dollars that was complete crap.

Chisels for carving, knives for whittling. Find a chisel set and a wooden chisel mallet. If you want to whittle, any knife with a 3/32"+ thickness ought to be fine.

There are some ways to get around that.
First is opening MSPaint, typing the text, saving as image and posting that.
Second is putting spaces and words between bits of the link.
