Im trying to make a prototype of kettle, so i need some metal spinning, they are asking for £100 for a simple semi sphere of 170mm diameter....

how could i go about making a aluminium semi sphere without the extensive costs ?

i dont have tooling either.

build a metal spinning lathe.
It could be super crude, metal spinning aint rocket science.

>Get block of wood as wide as and .5 inch deeper than the bowl needs to be
>Make a mold with the would, cut it, carve it, burn it, whatever
>Get some aluminum sheet metal
>Pound the fuck out of it with a hammer into the die
You'll need to do some math to figure it out though but it really shouldn't take more than a few hours and will cost less than $30.If a bunch of ten year olds can do it at summer camp, so can you.
