Hey /diy/

I made this. What do you think?

That is by far the best novelty dildo I have seen all day.

well done OP

I approve, and now I must add a router and a chop saw to my christmas list, again.

Made from Sanwa parts and hardwood.

Any other DIY joysticks welcome, even if they're just modded.

Arcade Stick General.
Would it be hard to just rip the inards out of a mayflash stick and stick em in a custom case? How would one go about doing this?

>> No.4242

>>4221
Hah normally people do that the other way around. The parts in a Mayflash stick are pretty poor compared to the best parts, but the box is more than ok and very easy to mod.

>> No.4245

I've never used an arcade stick (at home) but I'm going to ask; isn't that too small? It looks like your hands will be resting on the edge instead of on a flat surface i.e. a larger base for the arcade stick

>> No.4261

>>4242
I mean the PCB, probably gonna buy some sanwa buttons and a seimitsu stick

>> No.4292

>>4261
Yeah that works. There's a Mayflash stick with a pcb that does PC, PS3 and X360 that I've wanted to get to mod but I haven't had the cash for it.

Nice work but I personally can't stand Happ parts anymore.

I really need to mod mine already so I can play PS2/3

I would post but simple art and sanwa part swap mods aren't exactly very much of a DIY.

I had a good friend do this one actually, I just got the chance to study how he was making it as well but since it's an Arcade stick general, I can show this off. Wish I actually had the time and resources to start on my own project though!

Parts are -
SANWA-OBSF
SANWA-JF
Cthulhu Mod
Xbox-360 Wired PCB
4-way Gate
Black Maple Wood Case

I actually need to repair this, since Ultimate Marvel is coming out. The USB head was recently broken and I have not been able to use it for awhile, I was told to use a Neutrik B to A USB cable for this.

Eventually, I may just install LED's into this though.

>> No.5851

You should just make it solid black. It's more sleek that way.

I disagree, but only on the fact that when light reflects the wood on this case, it makes it look like the case has tiger stripes / patterns on it.

Eeeh, I'm too lazy to change out the artwork. But yeah I did realize that after I applied it onto the stick. Unfortunately, all the weeaboo / vocaloid images i have take up exactly those lengths, so it's like "aaaaa".

I find it's easier to look for artwork for a TE or a HRAP imho. Oh yeah, speaking of HRAP, does anyone have one of the Qanba sticks? It's a chinese off-shoot but I hear it's actually quite effective for what it's worth. The casing on it looks convenient enough, although the recent HRAP'S and TE have the same functions as it.

I do indeed mean the Q4. But I had no idea it was the best stick on the market, might have to invest into one of those though.

meant to say mod
as in works on 360 and ps3 out of the box unlike most sticks that are ps3 or 360 only
just make sure you buy the Q4 that supports that instead of the ps3 only models.
