Dunno if this is the right board to post in, but I've been getting into macrame recently and been wanting to incorporate this daisy design into a full wall hanger.

This video tutorial goes sort of the direction of what I want, but I'd like it to hang down and use the square knot to connect the cords together.

The next project would be to emulate those tree of life with flowers that you sometimes see on etsy.

Anyone ever tackled projects like those before? I've also been wondering what to use as a practice substitute for macrame yarn to make up patterns. It is pretty expensive after all.
