Wondering if you lads could help me with this.

So I'm finishing an external garage that has vinyl siding, but I just learned there isn't any building wrap under the vinyl. It was just nailed right onto the plywood sheathing. I plan on adding a few windows, and now I don't know how the flashing will transition onto the sheathing. Midwest climate. Using mineral wool insulation/vapor barrier in the interior, adding climate control later on.

Am I to I rip out all the siding and add building wrap to the entire exterior? Is there a way to get around this? I was just going to cut the vinyl and tuck the flashing underneath and around the windows, but now I fear I have to take all the god damned vinyl down. I wanna do it right, but cheaply. If possibru.

Thanks for any help with this~

The thing is, this garage was built in '95 with zero signs of water damage. I know that doesn't mean there never will be water seepage, but that counts for something no?
