The whole thing, or the tape?
The whole thing is a keyboard I ripped the controller out of a replaced with a teensyusb (avr mcu) running qmk. Because of how many io pins I had to work with I had to slightly modify the matrix, which involved cutting some traces. I also wanted hardware-based anti-ghosting, so I had to add a diode to each switch, which meant more cutting traces and soldering.
The tape is used in places where a diode leg crosses ovee some exposed metal that it shouldn't connect to (either another diode lead, or one of the solder pads the switches are soldered to).
Whole project cost about 30€ which is pretty good.

thanks for the explanation. i did mean the whole thing, i assumed the tape was for insulation, but you know what they say about assume

if you look close there is a bend hook where the bottle hangs, no tension on the hose.

beside looking shity its probably saver than having a gas bottle in the kitchen, if it leaks the gas is just venting away.

Shit like this is why at my last job they had to replace hundreds of switches all in one budget year instead of on a sane schedule because the previous network admin had been limping them all along for 10 years past their useful life. Mind you, its more or less what hacking's about on a hardware level
Back in ye olde days of... 2001, had a workmate I used to do some shifts with that came from a qualified plumbing background, I sort of came from an odd-sods, IT, engineering, car background and he's wanting to make a water cooled PC
>ok
>for fastness and overclocking
>ooooh
>more fps on screen

So with a few nights of not much happening we set up our little shift den with silver soldering station, 1/4" copper pipe, silicon tubing, diamond plates, lumps of copper and milled out a block for the CPU, small water pump, a car heater core I'd yoinked from a pick n pull, some fans and some radiator coolant. Used a mouldable ruler to measure out some bends, copper pipe full of sand and some kerfuckering later, got it installed on a cheap CPU and basically ran it up until the smoke and BOOP-whirrr came out to find just how toasty we could get it.
Some heat management fiddling later, new CPU for even more fastness, it was cranking along pretty well
He did an artisans job on the soldering, never seen anything as good since and I wish I'd gotten photos of it, alas its just a memory now just like you can buy a water cooling rig for basically under 100 bucks from a big box store

Just a month ago I cut an offset one square inch hole in the top of a mini-pc so I could set a 120mm fan on top to get better airflow. Not even properly attached, it's just some ugly USB 120mm fan I was gifted six months ago sitting on top of it.

once upon a time, when i was about 25, i decided to test one of those cartoon tropes. i soaped up the bottoms of my feet and slid them around really fast in the shower. i'm very grateful there was only a plastic curtain and not a glass door. also i managed to save myself from cracking my head on the toilet but it was really very close.

Nah, that's actually a sewer. Manhole is soviet/post-soviet code GOST 3634-89, they have a letter designation and that wavy pattern. K is for sewer (кaнaлизaция, literally "channel system"), B is for water, Д is for storm drainage, and so on.

So, that's a supplier's direct for this slav shitshop.
