Hello /diy/, my bedframe finally broke and instead of paying alot or buying something cheap and weak, I've decided to build my own bed frame. This is going to be my first project and I'm saving up to buy a table saw, miter saw, planer, sander, biscuit joiner, clamps and all of that. I'm going to be using these two videos,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ-ZoQU0fOk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9YCs4jhgL0
I chose two because the last one I posted seems too weak whereas the first link seems sturdier but want to mix up the methods in both of the videos because the second video doesn't have the piece of wood from the floor to the frame to support it whereas the first one does. Does anyone have experience building this and have any tips?

Buy an adjustable bed frame on Amazon
Tilting your head up or kicking your feet up or turning the massage on. So fucking nice

Find a better project to spend time and money on

just searched it up on amazon. The price is good and I mean, you get to adjust your bed.. seems sturdy as it's all metal too. I was really looking forward to building the bed but this adjustable bed is just too tempting. My next project was to build an aquarium stand for the aquarium I'm trying to build from scratch. How do I be careful so I'm not just wasting my time on useless projects?

All projects are useless, they all take way too much time and you spend 10x more money on them than you initially wanted.
It’s a hobby, something to get off the computer and enjoy working with your hands for a while. It’s cathartic

That’s why people do it, getting useful stuff in the end is just a byproduct.
Find projects you think would be fun and do them, do t think too much harder than that or you are missing the point.

I like that. I can see I saw woodworking differently than building scale planes or something. I thought I would have to make sure what I build is cheaper or sturdier but I mean hard to beat businesses that already have all of that setup with machines. You're right, it's something to get us off from the computer and keep busy. It's a hobby, good point.

Your bedframe broke because you're a giant fat bastard. Use steel tubing, fatso. lmao
