Hey /diy/ers, show us your hackerspace/workbenck/ /diy/ area etc.

>> No.204387

You won me over with just the Evangelion figures. lol

But still, a very nice setup. :)

>> No.204388

Although I do have to ask...

Do you have some weird obsession with time? lol

>> No.204393

Clocks are fun. I've only got five or six so far..... Next one is a replica nixie divergence meter from Steins gate (like the wallpaper on my laptop).

Plus another 4 or 5 Eva models to make (I almost have each model, except the production Evas).

My setup is almost right, except I need about double the space (but that's always the way)...

I spy with my eye an AOYUE 2900. Nice.

Does yours have the no-memory-on-shutdown issue?

>> No.204405

>>204399

It's actually an Ayoue 937+, but it is a nice station, especially for the price. :)
The pencil iron is a Goot. A good iron too.

The no memory on shut down is freaking annoying. I'm going to open it up one day and see if I can do something about it.....

Maybe stick an Arduino in there as seems to be the flavour of the month for microcontrollers. :D

>> No.204409

>>204405
Oh, ah. I thought the iron itself looked more like a 2900 series iron, but a quick look-up proves that they look the same from behind.

>The no memory on shut down is freaking annoying. I'm going to open it up one day and see if I can do something about it.....
Good luck, shouldn't be too hard. From glancing inside of my mate's 2900 and my 2901 (knob version that I bought wise from the knowledge of the memory issues of the button-adjustable units), they look fairly simple to interface with.

Inside projects get worked on this bench, outside projects like engine rebuilds and whatnot are done in the garage.
Crap strewn all over the place, just the way I like it.

>> No.204783

My bench is cleaned off and stowed to make room for some temporary guests. Goddamn it'll take me forever to get the mess just right when I take it back out.

#2 is a monitor that's connected to a computer off-screen (you can follow the power/signal cables). The thing it's sitting on is an amp and not a computer.

Same room, CNC Mill + Lathe. The blue tile is a real bitch to clean.

The back of the room has all my tooling and such which is probably worth a picture itself.

The actual workshop in the house (concrete floor) has most of my hand tools, an arbor press, bandsaw, tablesaw, bench grinder, belt sander and that kind of stuff.
