A crappy gappy box. First dovetail box I've made. Each corner had noticible improvement. But the first two kind of suck.

Not much, but I took apart a shit load of bar stools and saved all the support dowels to be used for handles for future hand tools. Dunno what to do with the leftover seats.

Just give it a try.
We started with metal mid 2019 as a hobby and evolved from simple shelf-steel-frames to more sophisticated things, like seen on the picture.
And we learn allot by mistakes. Like ‚maybe build a sheet metal bender first‘ or ‚at least more triangles‘.
The triangles are the cut offs of the firebox plate btw.

Next thing on my list is to figure out how to prevent image rotating.
And for the record and the ‚no women in the shop threads‘, most of the grinding and plasma cutting was done by my wife.

Built a 7/8 and 1" Allen wrenches out of some bar stock... Had a drain plug on a dozer that I crawled under and measured with a tape measure. It ended up being 24mm so I had to grind the end of the 1" hex key down a bit to get it to fit right. Got the plug out and drained the system and then cut the end of the hex key back off again to make it 1" again. Then built a proper 24mm hex to fit into a 24mm socket so I have a good tool to use for it now.
