Now, I actually have no idea where this would be most appropriate, since 4chan doesn't really have an 'architecture' or design board; but I was looking around for some design ideas, namely of cylindrical buildings, either like [pic related] or the more common tower of pisa-esque type. Seen anything interesting around?

Would love to build something like this over a large basement built inside of a large greenhouse.

I wonder if it's possible to waterproof that and grow on top of it.

Architect here, where and why do you want to build a cylindrical building?

Link to details on your pic:

In general if you want a non cookie cutter house either design yourself or hire an architect.

At first it looks like they have better feng-shui, but the trouble is the angles inside are more acute.

It would make more sense for each room to be spherical. Put 6 of them in a ring, optionally one more in the centre. If you're a right-brained-faggot you don't have to adhere to the hexagon.

As for doors, you could put the rooms really close so their plans intersect, but I would go with tunnels, say 5 to 10 feet in length.

I guess you could build a large shell around the rooms, but I don't see the point. There would be no advantage in terms of light, views and safety. If you want thermal efficiency, insulate each room.

can any architect/builder tell me how much pic related would cost to build?

god mode: how much would one acre of plain field cost too.

Given your lack of initiative, broad questions far to general to be answerable to any useful degree without even a vague suggestion of where you are actually located.... Hundreds of thousands of dollars, because the industry can smell a chump a mile away.

It's a log house man, It'd run you for about $50k to $70k also land in countryside is pretty cheap, you can get an acre for about $1000 to $4000 depending on location.

You will never get planning permission. Ever, ever, ever. Especially not with the new revised planning and green belt laws.
Just give up and move to a country not massively tilted in favour of faggot land rape gangs like barret homes. Unless you're planning to build an exclusive development of luxury executive semi detached homes, or are worth £10 million + and are friends with call-me-dave, you don't stand a chance.
