Sure. They're usually identical to the non-pink version and will end up on clearance faster. So it's usually just the power screwdrivers that I've bought at a lower price than the red ones. The cordless drills however are usually worthless and have nonstandard battery modules.

from what I understand, it's a gimmick that's part grrrrl powah and part breast cancer awareness but I've never used or bought one myself. Looking at stuff like this on the shelf, it all seems like hobbyist or sub-hobbyist black & decker tier shit, just with the pink shell.

I'm not gonna lie, I have a couple because they end up going on sale frequently, since most women don't do things. so I'll pay like half price for pink hammers, screwdrivers, etc. and I never have to feel weird about grinding down a screwdriver or whatever if I need a makeshift chisel or pick.

I knew a general contractor years ago who painted all his more expensive tools pink for this very reason. He kept a log of all the serial numbers and called all the pawn shops in his local area and told them if anyone brings in pink tools looking to sell to let him know.

I dip a lot of my tools in pink paint for two reasons: Easy to find as I'm clearing up a messy worksite with multiple other contractors, and no one else wants to be seen with them so I get to keep them to myself.
