I fixed the flapper on the upstairs toilet, installed a washer and dryer, and redid the plumbing in my shower... what’d you guys do today?

Fixed my moms dryer. The "little squeak" she heard was both guide wheels completely shot, a fraying drive belt and the felt seal at the back was torn.

>> No.1778479

broke up a basketball hoop and footing
took that and a bunch of yard waste to dump, wasn't informed the branches were from thorn bushes
built a sofa
installed an outlet
tried to fix storm door handle
moved and assembled a full body zero gravity massage chair
failed to fix an elliptical (missing parts)

I probably made like $20-$35 today.

Good job.

Went out to lunch for the GF’s birthday, her parents and my mom came and all the siblings had excuses, but the bill was a lot less so whatever.

Played around with this dumb P0456 code, not sure what any of these numbers mean.

Maybe it’s the gas cap or fuel filler neck. It comes and goes.

Nice! I doubt I made and money and spent probably $150 in parts but I also probably saved $500-$700 in labor not calling someone else to do work anyone should be able to do.

Nice! I am still testing mine out and have to get a better exhaust system setup soon when I can get the window fixed. The house is a side by side split duplex with a mirror floor plan. We used to rent out the other side but fuck that. The former kitchen is now the mud/laundry room and I am currently turning the 2 small bathrooms into 1 large bathroom upstairs. Next will be an archway connecting the two dining rooms into one and making it a single unit dwelling.

I bought an older condo this year, and the tub has seen better days. I threw some liquid nails sealant on the cracks as a quick fix, but I've got a few more little popping up. I'm out of here in 3-5 years so don't want to replace the tub, any ideas besides silicon?

Low flow in the ghetto! I ended up having to crimp the ball float adjuster to movie it down and bought a $5 flapper replacement kit with an old 2 inch rubber gasket and then just slipped off the old one and then I put the new one on. Turned the water on toilet filled up and just stopped leaking. That or the float is probably the problem if it’s always running or turns on periodically

I'm fixing a leak in an old pipe to my water heater.
I have a question though. My setup is like this, and I can either install another elbow, or bend the pex piping to reach. Is that a bad idea since there's a couple fittings that are going to be under added stress, or should I just go with the extra elbow and slightly worse water flow?

spent another hour fuckign around with my car trying to find out why the relay to the fuel pump is spazzing out and not sending any/enough power
have deduced it is not the relay, not the fuses, not the battery
likely culprit is looking like a short somewhere in the system which I'll probably have to tow the car to a shop to get fixed since it's still the depths of winter here and I have almost no experience in wiring and no desire to tear half my engine block apart to find the short
