Electrical brainlet here. I got some RGBW LED strips to wire into a cabinet set i'm building but didn't realize they came pre-cut and soldered with some machine pin headers already. I want to by some wire and make my own custom length extensions between each strip, but I am not sure what pins to buy that will still connect to the strip. The RGBW pins appear to be standard breakaway 2.54 mm pins which are not an issue. The 12v power pin though is thicker than the others so I am not sure what to get for it. I think it is a Swiss round pin. If i cannot figure it out I will probably just need to cut into the water proofing and remove the connections, then make my own new ones.

I'd just unsolder them and solder on wires.

Seconded, just like pic.
Used to do this for my bar-top arcades marque lights

why not just solder directly to them at that stage?

Those will fit any dupont style jumper. solid core 18 AWG will fit nicely. But seriously, you can just solder directly to the connector, too.

Those are round pin connectors, they don't take dupont. Not only that, they're non-standard connectors, as you can see the 12V has a larger diameter than RGBW.

hole shape doesn't dictate fit. The point here is that you dont need to get fancy, you can just stick wires in the connectors, and solder them if you must. Literally no reason to do anything else unless you are just trying to autismo it, which is fine too, but make that your goal.
