Get a better table (used),
Adjust tracking force down to max of whatever cart you have
place on foam rubber with a layer of denser rubber below, idealy one density for each type of jolt it will recieve but i think some mat and a sheet of matress foam will suffice.

Or (/and) get a linear tracking table from the 80s/90s

Your record player is a piece of shit, get a good one. Put it on its own piece of furniture, not hanging off the side of your Ostadig Ikea table. Picture related. Also what moron places a thing the makes smoke and ash RIGHT NEXT to something that is highly susceptible to smoke and ash? I thought you new age fuckwits were all about the "purity" of vinyl or some shit. It seems more likely that you are some hipster shithead that has no clue about how to actually use records.

Down side it cuts slightly deeper grooves in the LP and the needle will wear out a little faster.

>>Implying that records have less bandwidth than a low bitrate MP3.
Discerning between a record and the source is easy. Anyone could tell you which was the record because it introduces some pretty iconic distortion and noise, and records are mastered to reduce playback artifacts like skipping by reducing bass and treble. A record also has a very limited dynamic range of 50-60db, which is sharply less than the human ear is capable of.
Telling the difference between a modern 128kb/s mp3 and the source is difficult. Some can do it by listening closely for classic mp3 distortion in complex sounds like cymbal crashes, but the average person off the street can't tell. At 192kb/s even the experts have an extremely difficult time determining which is which in an A/B test. At 256kb/s it's simply impossible to tell which is which.
Therefore vinyl has less effective bandwidth than mp3 at commonly used data rates.

It actually doesnt because cheap players will shave out the grooves and make sure the record unplayable in two years.
>>1730917
Im going to give you the actual awnser: Without MASSIVE compromises you cant. If OP is your turntable and it still skips there's not much hope. The crosleys track at over 5gm which is very heavy. Anymore and you start going into gramophone levels of tracking weight which will completely ruin your records in no time. There is still a potential solution : Going the DJ route. DJ carts track very well and are designed to stick to the groove. You will need to ditch the crosley and get a decent turntable with removable cartridges, heads, adjustable tracking (over 5 grams) and accommodate fairly heavy cartridges. I suggest you go the vintage used route. The technics SL-1000 range is comprised of some of the best turntables ever made and the SL-1200 is objectively the best TT ever conceived. You can get excellent TTs for as little as 150$ though and 50$ if you know how to repair them which is usually fairly easy and inexpensive. What to avoid: Thin plinths, total weight under 5kg, Straight arms, Plastic tonearms, Small platters, plastic platters. Next step is to get an ortofon concord cartridge. An OM Pro should do the trick. Theres a fuckton of them in the used market for about 50$. Dont forget to replace the stylus if its used up.
Next step is furniture. Get a nice heavy wooden TV/Hifi rack. Should be easy to find for free. then bolt it to the ground and put the TT on it (maybe bolt it too). If it still doesnt work give up. There is a TT that can play in an RV. Problem: it was commissioned by some arab prince living in an apartment on the top of the Burj Khalifa because the shaking building made his TT skip. Not for the common folk.

>>1732434
I mean that frees up all the rotation axis and all, but that's not really the problem. The angular velocity and acceleration of an RV shouldn't be a problem. The main problems is translational acceleration in the vertical direction which will cause a skip that resumes as if it kept playing normally, and acceleration perpendicular to the tracking arm which will cause it to skip grooves. For the perpendicular one to occur it needs to be a combination of both to get out of the groove.

Beyond suspending and dampening the entire player or spring loading your arm and destroying your records, getting a linear tracking player like >>1730950 mentioned is your best bet. It entirely solves the issue of acceleration perpendicular to the grooves, and I feel like since you don't have a large cantilevered arm, you can get away with normal tracking force.

In fact the more I think about it, increasing the tracking weight by means of a cantilevered beam with a counterweight (which is probably what your player has), would actually increase skipping since it's moving the CG further away from the pivot point, increasing the moment about the CG created by the pivot point.
