What can I put between the gas bottle and the elbow in order to have a valve between the two. I don't know what thread or fittings to use.

The argon gas bottle doesn't seem to have any indications as to what connection to put on it.

is that a Schrader valve? it looks like you need a connection with a core depressor pin. maybe part number 005560099 on the Schrader Pacific catalog? Just a heads up, it operates opposite of a normal valve. it opens clockwise and closes counterclockwise.
