Could I actually learn how to fix my car and possibly become a asset for car realated companies by becoming a pro at this game ?

Also it's not just my opinion. 90 percent of the 13,400 people that reviewed it we're very positive on steam. 9/10 ratings

Game is fucking excellent. You larp as a Finnish man rebuilding a car and I forgot how good it was. I'm gonna start again.

Nope, real wrenching isn't holding your mouse over components in the correct order to make animations play.

Don't listen to negative Nancy's. It's going to teach you a lot. Components, how things fit together, a good understanding of the mechanics.. these guys will teach you it won't teach you anything yet they'll reach for a manual and read that. There's no tangible difference.

What it won't teach you is how to rip skin of your knuckles or how much of a cunt some things are to reach.. but it's better than nothing to help build your overall knowledge until you can get a project car.

First motor I worked on was an old Honda motorcycle engine.. you don't need a car to start learning.

>tfw I put together my car and got it started without using a guide.

Im not a mechanic, but my brother is and I have done enough work on cars over the years that I pulled it off.
Its certainly THE game if you are into /diy/ and cars.

Also its really sad watching playthroughs of people on youtube using a guide for every single step on their first build. Ruins the fun.

Master tech here.

No.

I'm sure you can learn some basic shit on there. But fixing real problems? No. You have to get the problem, understand it, and fix it. Learning bus systems and basic electronics will get you further ahead.

Either don't respond to them, or be excessively rude. Not responding is the better choice, since they're attentionwhores and enjoy being shat all over.

the hilarious thing about this particular moron is that he is so eager to post every detail of his life that he posted his real name, and every time I mention it he reports me and I get banned.

definite no. Not in depth enough. Everything is super idealized - like lug nuts never get stripped, and you never have to figure out how to remove them. You never have to deal with wiggy Chrysler technology. Looking up parts is super easy, and they actually give you information to figure stuff out correctly. Completely unrealistic.

Better yet, pay the entry fee and take apart random shit and try to put it all back together with just basic hand tools.

This is what I did to learn about vehicles. I own a classic car I bought in college and I wanted to learn how to modify and improve it. I worked there for a year, until I got hurt too many fucking times. Came out with great knowledge and had an excuse to buy top-tier tools.

If you already spend time playing games, then I guess this along with My Summer Car could give you some information on what's going on in a car. My knowledge of cars is close to zero, I have no means of taking one apart, or doing any extensive repairing at home except changing oils, brakes, etc. But after My Summer Car at least I had an idea what's inside an engine, instead of considering it as a metal block with black magic going on. It's also a hilarious game (helps to be a Finn).

However YouTube is the shit when it comes to car repair stuff. When something has to get done, there's bound to be a video for your make and model, for the specific repair in YT. Better also watch Chrisfix perform the same thing on some other vehicle, he has a lot of neat tips. This is how I've started to take care of the basic needs of my car, saved me a bunch of money thus far. Things being stuck tight are the main time consumers though, no game can prepare you for that.

I've decided to make a folder of the screencaps of all my b&s. I've gotten so many over the years, I wish I had saved them all from the beginning. Each one is special and humorous.
