with a pic like OP's how can you guys still be discussing files and shit.

I hated beer the first time I tasted it, but after drinking a few hundred I believe that when you are hot and parched, it's as good a beverage as anything else, including water, soft drinks, juice, milk, etc. So, did I brainwash myself, or is it simply an acquired taste?

By comparison, I drink vodka and orange juice nowadays, and have for many years, but if I screw up and don't put enough OJ in, it still tastes like paint thinner.

You normally hand flatten with a scraping tool, which is cheaper and better than a file. It's in some ways better than using a grinder.

Good way to grind flat with a grinder, but the finish is not so pretty:

This is the first in a fairly good series on hand scraping:

Hell, technically this fulfills what OP asked for, you need nothing but 3 rigid plate faces and something to grind them down with:

Scraping is for ultimate flatness, not to remove material in any significant amount

Ask /EMG/ you dumb motherfucker.
Also, consider a flat endmill on a CNC machine, a metal lathe, or a CNC surfacing tool that uses inserts. Ultimately, ask your local machine shop if you have none of the above.

>He's not scraping lathe rails lol
How do you know??

What I was saying is that scraping is more applicable than filing the damn thing flat for hand tools. And while I understand what you mean: while we're being pedantic, you can scrape things that are really far out of flat into being flat, but it's not the preferred or efficient method used today.

After 20 years of drinking strong lager 3-4 days per week I started adding 1/3rd carbonated spring water into it. Why not just buy weaker lager? Because its fully fermented it doesn't any stuff in it that messes up your stomach and the taste is more to my liking, doubly so with the added water. Now i can drink more and also my hangovers are all but eliminated. People do give me shit when they see me watering down my own beer. But no one who knows how much i can actually put down will say its because i can't hold my liquor.

TL;DR I like beer better watered down.

you clearly have not tried "fat tire" by New Belgium

best fucking beer ever, drink it cold and buy it from a beer store that keeps it cold the whole way there because beer tastes worse if it is allowed to warm up then gets chilled again.

Amazing fucking beer.

On beer, nothing wrong with Miller lite it tastes like fucking water. I'll grab that shit out of my glove box in 90 degree weather and chug it.
As far as is there beer that tastes good, yes, many. Personal favorites are stouts.
And yes, I drink my coffee black because I like it that way.
