I recently acquired this metal plate that I plan on hanging on one of my walls. Problem is, there are these huge metal brackets behind it that get in the way. The bolt that's holding the brackets in place is pic related. I tried taking this picture to a few hardware stores and the only lead I have so far is it's a Spanner Bit. I check Amazon, and the drivers for that are way too small for this. Any ideas?

I can’t find the sizes anywhere but that’s a 3/8” square in the center so they could be close. Otherwise use the barbarian route and stick the two tips of some needle nose pliers in there and use the pliers as a screwdriver.

Adjustable pin spanner wrench. You need to specify the pin size when ordering one.

Yep pin wrench. Harbor freight sells and adjustable one for 5 bucks. I use them for angle grinders because I always lose the fuckin wrench that comes with it

While I am all for using the proper tool for the job, you can nigger rig it if you get a pair of allen wrenches or screwdrivers that fit the holes reasonably well and then grab both of them from the side with a channellock wrench. Turn like a screw.

Fucking GM garbage. I never understood the point in rotating the piston back into the caliper.
Just another reason NOT to buy that GMCrap

It’s not just GM who does it. I never looked into the design, but it’s some aspect of the parking brake on tons of cars with 4 wheel disc brakes.
