his answer was rather metaphysical but was on point in its own way.

as for me, I'd advise OP to look into arduino and the blink sketch.

Make guitar effect pedals, tons of free schematics online and is pretty good introductory stuff to building circuits. You don't necesairly need to have a guitar to test it works either, just 1/4 inch cables to a speaker

Don't buy electronic parts/kits off amazon, use ebay or a chink website. The stuff that's sold on amazon is literally rebranded chink shit that's the exact same stuff being sold from ebay chink sellers. Only things you should buy from amazon are non-trash tools and parts for stuff you're trying to fix that are expensive (like a 4k tv or something). For tools buy a really good soldering iron (like weller), a deceit multimeter, a <$10 LCR/ESR meter (ebay) and a cheap dc bench power supply to get started. The best way to actually get started is to tear apart broken electronics (or working ones) and fix them (or figure out how they work). You can do dumb ardiuno project too, but those are more meant for kids, and most of them do a bad job actually explaining stuff. And youtube is your friend, check out the /ohm/ thread for youtube channels.

I like this idea, get a spice rack that will hand you the spice you ask it to give you. Might be a bit high-up for a starter in ee though :)
