hey folks, ive seen some videos of woodcarving and it got me interested, where do i start, how much would tools cost me, can i learn it by myself? thanks in advance

sharpening the tools is probably the hard part.

I would suggest a paper wheel for a bench grinder and some lapping compound to really get a fine edge quickly.
