I know that yall are mostly electrician /diy/ers, but hopefully some of the more crafty types frequent here as well.

I am making a tunic shirt, and am modifying a pattern (hopefully). I have never done this before... any tips, tricks, or descriptions of the process?? I do not have a body double mannequin, but if I REALLY need one to modify patterns I can make the duct tape ones.

So, beginners/intermediate pattern making, modification, and mockup..ing?

What type of Tunic?

Well, marital arts type wrap top. But I kind of want information that I can use for future projects/sewing adventures. I would go to /cgl/ but they seem preoccupied with their drama today... so I'm starting here first for advice and general tips on pattern drafting and such.

So a Gi, not an actual tunic?
