Arm computer from SMTIV

Hey /diy/ I know this should probably go in that cosplay board but they have a ton of autists that think the board should have only 1 all encompassing thread.

So how would I go about making the COMP from SMTIV? I don't want it look exactly like it because I want to be able to fit my phone in (and preferably have it adjustable to different phone sizes)

Should I use foam and plastic? Or try to get metal?

Alright my dude calm your autism. I'm trying to achieve an arm mounted computer with a bit of storage and Bluetooth support and touchscreen support. So far I assume I'll be using a raspberry pi and 3 mini touchscreens.

So far my options are borrowing the local library 3D computer to print off what I was thinking the mount should look like (the pictures) or using foam since I'm not too good with metal. This is honestly a cosplay piece first and an arm computer second since originally I was just going to have the mount be adjustable to fit my phone in but then I started thinking about the Pi

Looks like your best bet will be something like 1/16" steel welded together, for a combination of sturdiness and lightness. 1/16" aluminium would be even better. But that's just for the flat parts. Getting the round parts around the arm looks tough if you want them to be metal.

But on the other hand, making the screen's frame out of plastic wouldn't be particularly easy if you lack a 3D printer. If you have one then print the rigid parts and use a piece of sheet plastic as the arm band. Still, you won't have a nice metal product.

Thanks guys! It looks like I'll probably use a bit of metal for some parts and foam/3D print other parts.

It'll probably just be a phone holder for now because it looks like what I wanted to do with the Pi seems pretty intense.
