OP here, how do i fix it?

maybe you painted too many layers at once and they didn't get to dry correctly. you need to paint a layer and wait for it to dry before applying multiple coats. it looks like from your image that you had really thick layers of paint. this can lead of part of it drying before another and that's much like the crust of the planet, if you can imagine... as things dry, they 'tighten' up and this leads to adhesion. however, if the bottom layers or the rest of your very thick layer are still liquid, they won't shrink at the same rate, which leads to troughs and raised portions

if this isn't the case, and you did the painting correctly, you probably needed primer. primer, use a paint roller to apply thin but not overly thin layers, touch up with a brush and to do edging

maybe your room was too humid. or manmade humidity. steam can crack drying paint.

you'll either have to peel off and resand most of your paint and start again.. or live with it until it gets a lot worse

It would have covered better if you used a shot of black.

This.

For a better result.
1. Paint a thin layer.
2. Wait for it to dry.
3. Repeat.

>>1267808
I think OP's results answer that...

>> No.1267880

>>1267830
Basically this which is why it costs so God damn much to have something painted for you. It's fucking time consuming.

No! Bad memer!

this is not a case where shot of black helps. OP is mentally retarded and SOB does not help that.

>> No.1267983

op, if what they're assumin is true and you laid it on thick...ive never really seen that happen. .when you lay it on too thick it usually just gloops down all stupid like and you get shit runs on the wall

as for not having primed or sanded properly. it would even come close to lookin that shitty

you fix it by scraping the whole shit area and repaint the ceiling

im thinking there's something you're not telling us.

any before pics

>> No.1267990

OP just let it dry for a few days, alpply some caulk to fill in the cracks let that dry a day then repainted, this time, not so much paint...

>DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SAND

>> No.1268009

>>1267823
OP here. I literally painted one layer, no primer used, i think the problem was the humidity

>>1267983
No before pic, sorry anon, but the ceiling was clean and 'dry'.

>>1267990
Thanks anon, i will do that. I hope it goes well.

>caulk
wtf?
skim coat it with joint compound if the paint is sticking good and its supposed to be a smooth ceiling, or get a small container of high build primer and see if that hides it sufficiently.
Don't scrape anything that isn't already falling off on its own. What's the ceiling made out of, and how did it look before you painted it? is it textured finish on sheetrock? What nap length roller did you use?

>> No.1268426

>>1267783
what the fuck did you use for paint, because this looks like watered down yogurt

>> No.1268440

>>1268022
Yes caulk. It's made to be directly be painted.

>you suggest something OP needs to prime and then paint...

>> No.1268728

>>1268440
how the fuck are you going to smooth the caulk to be consistent with the rest of the ceiling. It says right on the tube dont use as a skim coat.

>> No.1268821

Did you mix the paint. Maybe it's old or something
