I have pic related under my sink. Here's a link to the product specs: https://www.brasscraft.com/product/12-in-nom-comp-x-12-in-o-d-comp-2/

I want to shut off the valve, detach the line to the sink, then attach a tube running to a wort chiller for home-brewing.

Essentially I need to go from the 1/2 in OD Comp fitting to a barb. Ideally the barb fitting is 3/8 in. but 1/2 in. would work.

After searching a bit I can't seem to find the adapter I'm looking for. I feel like I'm googleing it wrong. Any advice?

For reference this is the kind of tubing I'm trying to attach.

no, no, no, get a sink adapter, unscrew the aerator and screw on the adapter. google Sink Faucet Rinser to get the idea.

I work my magic outdoors on the turkey fryer, a hell of a lot easier outside. I connect my chiller to the garden hose

I'm in an apartment so the garden hose isn't an option. Doing 1 gallon brews on the stove-top.

that sounds like a huge pain in the ass and I don't recommend it.

but if you insist, go to the hardware store with pictures of what's under your sink and a drawing of what you want to do.

plumbing section should have a wide array of brass and plastic parts for connecting every fucking thing to every other fucking thing, and you're probably going to have to do it like so:
water valve compression fitting (your pic)
tube of poly
compression fitting to pipe thread (male or female)
pipe thread (opposite gender) to barb
vinyl

also you need teflon tape to prevent the pipe threads from leaking

So you're saying remove the sprayer like this and find an adapter for 3/8" barb?
