how do I screw in dowel screws to furniture legs without killing my hands/stripping the screws by using pliers?

>> No.1265070

>>1265068
Place two bolters together on the treated part that will stick out of the wood and use a non-adjustable wrench to torque it around.

>> No.1265071

Some of them have a small hex/unthreaded segment, some have one end with machine screws which you can use a nut, some have only wood threads, which you are free to fuck up the threads in the middle because you don't need all the threads anyways.

Is it because rings can get caught and shot off in the table saw as in pic related? How did that happen and why should I not wear my ring in the shop?

Yes, it is.
It happened because he wore a ring in the shop.
You shouldn't wear your ring in the shop because that will happen.

Do they not have thick elastic bands where you live rub a bunch around the dowel end double up on them if you pliers have sharp teeth, in a pinch an old shop rag folded a couple of times works to protect the work piece.

And fuck that shit degloved fingers are nightmere fuel.

glue a nut onto a piece of wood. The wood keeps the threaded rod form passing through and the whole thing acts like a wrench.

Haha, it's probably convenient to the surgeons that they have alignment markers on the skin. It'd make their job a little easier.

A coworker told me about a woman who wore a ring to work. She was dusting under a drill press using her fingers and her ring got caught in the drill bit and it twisted her finger off.

Do yourself a favor and don't wear rings around any tools
