Haha, no. The only way to make money at a casino is to OWN the casino. Even then its sketchy. Just ask Trump.

Yeah you could reprogram it but good luck getting the software AND making the changes without being caught. They are called one armed bandits for a reason.

Back before they were all electronic you might have had a reasonable chance to win but now that they are all electronic you'll never get ahead. They will give you small wins just to keep you going then suddenly you just stop winning

I knew a guy who did (Casino) Token Palming - tldr, you 'swapped' chip values on bets already placed for lower/higher values, depending the outcome. You need to be (verrrryyy) quick (time inbetween ball landing and croupier table clearing), and even better at acting dumb if you did get caught "oh, my mistake, sorry" -etc.

He lived in Vegas and was probably near-Aspergers in some respects, as well as being 'morally flexible' . also, I dont think there really was much else to do there. But OnTopic, the machines? - Fuck, no. Anyone can (and often do) scam casinos - when they losing money on the machines tho, they KNOW its an inside job - the fuckers literally CANT lose. Someday, be all machines, no more non-electronic card tables.

Back in the day there was a guy who had access to the micro controller. He downloaded the code, studied it, found out a hack for it, then implemented it multiple times before he got caught. Now the boards are pretty much inaccessible to anyone that isn't servicing the machine.

So yeah, if you have access to an old 1980's-1990's machine, but not the modern ones because it's pic related.

Don't bother.
The casinos WILL fuck you, and they will fuck you hard.
My third time to a casino, I had Giga Nigga the Rent-A-Cop climb up my ass because I won 3 $2000ish jackpots within an hour. Complete random luck.

Also there's this.

There was also this other guy that was earlier that I saw a show on tv on, where he bought slot machines, and then found exploits for them. I remember that one of the exploits on machines from the 70's was that the jackpot was light activated, so what he did was he made a device out of a flashlight and a coat hanger where he could reach inside the machine and set off the jackpot.

The only thing that's easily done it "accidentally" unplugging the machine. I had a friend that owned a few of them.
Basically since the program is designed to let you win every now and then and this resets that system.

It was one of the regulators. He got the machine to analyze it's fairness and stumbled alone the bug. Do certain combinations of actions and it would pay out relatively well. Being in that kind of job he was banned from gambling. I think he's still in prison.

The casinos have people who try and break the current system so they can patch it before they lose millions. Except for certain card strategies, there is really no good way someone here would know a way and tell you anon.

Worked at a casion, the only thing you can do is with IGT. The reset key is super simple, small t shaped key like a shitty bike lock or master lock. You can change the hit percentage of the reels, but i dont remember if the door has to be open.

It was actually the device that counted the payout- the flash of the coins interrupting the light was how it counted.
The light blocked the counting so it just kept spitting out coins.

I worked in the casino industry. There is no way you can phisically cheat the machine. Even the program which generates the numbers is not even inside the machine. They are all connected to a game server which generates the random winning numbers.

Best way to cheat is to play only the recently released games. They usually have a higher percentage of probability to win to generate players. Or hacking into the gaming server which is impossible for an average joe.

Good luck

If you know anything about programming and hacking and the casino/bar/pub has free wifi you could probably find a way to access the machines using a laptop and you should be able to change the odd's/payback percentage... but if you get caught then yeah you're not gonna have a fun time in jail so maybe have a mate play while you hack oh and also dont forget to change back the percentage afterwards

the percentage they have to pay out of whats put in to them varies by location for legitimate casinos. if they don't pay out a certain percentage the casino is fined. its why their software isn't just a simple number generator.

other than reprogramming it, or somehow figuring out a code that some corrupt programmer possibly left in. the only way to stand a chance is watching a machine constantly watch it and wait for a period where it doesn't pay out.

sure, if they have to pay out 18% of all money put in, if you kept sinking money into it your only going to win back 18%. best case scenario, is to have someone else put in the other 81% of the money, get lucky and put in 1% and get back 18 times what you put in.

odds are not in your favor unless you know a corrupt programmer who coded the machine and put a back door in. it's happened before,

you can't be like the Fonz, slap a jukebox and expect a free song to play

Casino IT worker here, short answer, no. You could get physical access to the machine if you had the keys and a card (at least with the newer machines, we're talking only Digital reels here) and managed to not attract attention from the alarms going off on the machine itself (a Beep Beep Beep) noise, the trigger flag Surveillance gets for every machine open notification, and then cut the power and swapped the chip, but as soon as you got a jackpot if the machine didn't throw some checksum error, the chip would immediately checked to make sure it was correct.

Say you did this, and managed to pull it off. DO NOT exceed the amount says is the "max" value. Saw on the news recently of some lady got some million dollar prize off a max $10k win machine. Thats an automatic fail.

The only way to game these machines is if you paid attention to every single dollar in and out of it since startup and paid attention to the PAR values that actually were set for the machine (which you dont know, though its entirely possible to figure them out since all machines I've ever delt with were highly regulated in its Percentage of Annual Return) and some how figured out the moment it was pushing over a big value payout needed dictated by that value.

Over all, the one other method I could possible see possible is if you gained access to admin or slot management/director level access to a computer that could set your own custom in house jackpot that might pay out on one particular set of machines, and then you gamed only on that machine until it hit. You'd have to create it in a way that would make it look like a machine level jackpot and not a custom one.

Examples of that would be places that use carded lucky coin system like Acres (IGT) that pay out a jackpot to a random player that played with their players card inserted, usually depending on regulations, they have to pay out before a certain cash value which is like under $10k because the IRS requires extra paperwork if it goes over that and no one wants to do that shit.

As a continuation again more, if you waited for the value of said CLC to reach near its max value, you could then play cheaply (like one line bets) and just spam the ever living shit out of it until it hits. Though you'll be playing against every other person in the casino with their cards inserted but its possible for the least amount of money in, but at that point you might as well just play on the slot machines as they are intended: For entertainment purposes only. Enjoy the flashing lights and just get a drink and blow some time.

unusual betting patterns, designed to kill cards, lack of conversation, doesn't accept the free drinks, small bets on most hands then sudden large bets on winning hands.
That's why most card counters work in teams, so the one counting cards doesn't win and (hopefully) doesn't act suspicious enough to get attention, so someone sweeps in when a table is "hot", makes a dozen high value bets, then wanders the floor some more while up.

Also, the software is more complicated now, and they change percentages on the fly. if you're losing too quick, it will up the win rate so you don't get discouraged, if you're winning too much it will drop. because nothing is hardwired anymore, it's all random numbers. It's legal because the average is required, not the specific odds on any particular player.

>>1089492
This used to work with the old mechanical machines, people would make a living by watching for the old ladies to give up on a machine that was full and drop 10k to get out 12k on average.
but that was because the machines were mechanically designed to pay out more when full of coins, so they wouldn't break @ stuffed full.

The only way to win is to try bonus hunting and take advantage of promotional offers, but online casinos are cracking down on that, and it takes math. also, a lot of the terms of service for the promotional offers have killed the practice.

the other option is playing against other players instead of against the house, eg. poker, where skill can offset the house rake.

Honestly though, if you're going to gamble, day trade. the odds are in your favor.
