i take my 3 dogs for walks every night, and last night we found pic related by the side of the road.

i want to test it for heroin because heroin is becoming a problem in my neighborhood, but i also don't want to bring down the drug hammer on someone simply being negligent with their diabetes medicine.

You know who's needle it is and that they are a drug user and also diabetic who takes their medication in the middle of the street and is too lazy to properly dispose of their needles.? its the only situation that makes sense.

reporting it, but i don't want to blow the situation out of proportion and start a drug raid on someone just being a general fuckup. i have an -idea- of whose it is, but not exactly - there's a lot of traffic in front of this house because the kids there are all recently of driving age.

if you're going to report it, just leave it at that. I doubt the police are really going to care about what detective work you do. They will probably file it under tampered-with evidence and you'll just be making their job more difficult IF they actually decide to do something.

it's not even really the police's job, their job is to gather evidence.
what fucking country do you live in that police will pick up a needle and immediately put someone in prison under a drug charge?
having a dirty needle can't get you a possession charge even if there is residue.

Leaving a dirty needle out is dangerous and needs to be rectified.

Saying that police will probably be too busy and there will be too little evidence to do anything about it.
