If this is the wrong place for this, please redirect me. Can anyone recommend any books about electronics? It is a field I want to develop an interest in, but I haven't the first idea where to start.
I know no more than what I can remember from school, which is extremely basic. series/parallel, diode, transistor etc.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Back in the late 80's I had to choose between going to school to get an engineering degree and being able to live, so I never got far with school. This book taught me *so much* though, that at 48 I'm able to do some degreed-engineer-level work.
