I made meself a torrent of infographics and shit.
Version 1.
Download it, add to it, reupload it.
Together we can make the /diy/book.

Make sure that if you reupload, put the new torrent on /diy/.
Mayhaps we could even get a sticky. That'd be pretty cool.

i've had some criticism about this one, but not much that was specific

it's describes the simplest possible untuned antenna just to get people to start listening, if they enjoy it they can google something better. that this is my main antenna for shortwave listening and it works well enough

apparently my description of side band and how to use it isn't the greatest, i may update this or someone else may do so if they want

I'm Italian, and this is the first time I've ever read about cream in carbonara.
Anyway just eggs and no cream is tasty as hell

My problem with all these infographics floating around is that they're not centralized. There's several sites dedicated to it, and there's thousands of people with their own collections. But there is no standard catalog system so it's hard to know who has what or exactly how much there is to have. I know I have a shit load.

Secondly, there is no standard of quality. Trusting an image is just a bad idea. It's easier if you have prerequisite knowledge of the subject or if there's links to the source. Information is widely available, it's everywhere. The trick is to learn how to discern bad information from good.

Of course the best format for both problems is wiki. You can account for all the info as well as implement quality control. Kind of hard to do that with images since you can't parse text on an image file easily.

Just some thoughts on infographics in general.
