I second that

Guys, I think this works as /diy/ because you are building it for yourself.

Alright, so i have had some experience with this. I have built myself a Halo 3 marine complete armor thing, Halo Reach armor, Half Life 2 HEV mark6 suit, and even a head crab helmet.

What your asking is how to make a suit/armor right?

>> No.18964

I have seen many single person transformers suits... I think it would be easier to make.

Really, its not. Even something easy like h3 marine suits took me like 2 months.

Of course it depends on materials used. There are quickly made things and there are good things. Just saying that because I don't think he can do it for halloween.

yeah true. The way I have made mine is to use pepakura, make a paper model, fibre glass resin it, then use bojo and sand it to get the nice curves, then paint it.

But sorry OP, your never getting it done before halloween. You should have stared at the start of this month at least.

Do you want to be able to transform? if not.

Get some wire and build the frame of each piece with it. You can get cheap wire in 32 foot spools from pearl.

Cover each piece in plaster. Make joints out of newspaper.

use masking tape and a lot of it to bind the newspaper to the wire.

Get that easy plaster shit again at pearl and plaster up each piece.

let dry paint. put it together hold major together using Velcro.

I build a huge fuck off mask for my girlfriend using this same method. It was cheap easy and would take about 3 days all together.

Sounds difficult lol

I'd like an answer to this post, too, I've seen a lot of great transformers costumes, including ones that fully transform.

Do that or

Look at every fucking frame and figure out the pieces. Not going to help you anymore since I have to sleep now. Good luck though.

Like i said in my above post, download pepakura, download .pdo files, print them out on cardstock, fold them up and glue it, then fibreglass resin it, bondo and sand it to get the nice curves, and then paint it.

Go to the 405th and the PF mob. Google both. They are very helpful.

It's going to turn out shitty OP. You should have given yourself more time. Halloween is in like a week.
